In this three-part series, three inspirational women share their letters to their younger selves, about self esteem, worry and love. This is advice that they wish they could have shared with themselves and now they share it with you. For part two we bring Natalie Sytner, and her advice to her younger self.
Natalie Sytner is a Freelance PR manager and has worked for major fashion retailer Browns and fashion brand Rag and Bone. As a successful business woman, she’s an inspiration to us all and now she tells us what she wishes she could have told herself.
Dear Natalie,
WEAR SUNCREAM- EVERY DAY. Maybe just on your face- I promise you will get older and get wrinkles. (I never thought I would) Its way cooler to be the one who wore sun cream- all your friends will be so jealous.
Listen to the incredible advice that your mother gives you when she says to never wish your life away. There is so so much still to come- do everything in your power to try to enjoy this moment and today. You’ll never feel as free as you do now. Embrace it!
The boy that you love right now- the ‘coolest boy ever’- you will most probably forget. Don’t worry so deeply about him.
You can be anything you want to be- aim high and don’t be embarrassed to put yourself out there. You may feel self conscious now but one day you’ll look back and be so proud of your own strength.
